Parachute Jump

I really like extreme, so I want to try a parachute jump. A parachute jumping is the most exiting and fantastic sport for me. Can you imagine 4000 meters of height, only 50 second of free fall , and 200 kilometers per hour, isnt it exiting? Arter your parachute will open in the height of 1400 meters, you will fly 7-9 minutes over the ground. I think it is very exiting fellings. For a parachute jump you have to be over 14 years old, and the maximum weight shoud be 100 kilograms. You will need a comfortable cloth and shose. The most save way is to try it with instructor who takes all resposibility for technial part of the jump.
My mom doesn't want me to try it because she thinks that is very dangerous. Whereas my mom and my brother went to Italy, my father and I decided to try it. We went to the airoclub in my hometown. I almost tried a parachute jumping, but it was bad weather conditions, so we were not allow to jump. I still want to try a parachute jumping and I hope one day I will have an opportunity to do it. I want to experience flight like a bird.

Today, I want to write about some rules for healthy lifestyle. The first rule is try to eat healthy and avoid fast food restaurants. Fast food is very harmful for people's health because it consists of lots of fats and it makes people fat. Since fruits and vegetable have lots of vitamins it is a very healthy food. Try to eat less, but often because small portions are better for the prosses of metabolism. The second rule is do sport and be active. There are many different kinds of sporty activities, such as roller-blading, running, and biking. Try to spend more time outside. Also, you can go hiking, fishing, ruffting, or camping. The third rule is try to sleep well. Normaly people should sleep 8 hours per day. The sleep help people to take off weariness and get energy. I try to follow these rulles to be healthy.

Vancouver

Last week I went to Vancouver with my boyfriend and friend. It was great trip. We got to Vancouver by a car. We went on Sutturday morning at 4 o'clock and it was difficult to drive the car because a lot of deers crossed the road. It took about 9 hours with stops to get from Calgary to Vancouver. After we found our hotel in Vancouver, we went to a beach. The water was very cold for me; however, some people swam. After the beach, we went dontown. The downtown in Vancouver is bid and very beautiful because it decorates by lots of fountains. We also went to the Harbor Centre Tower in downtown. It was very good because I like towers and I like height. In addition, this tower has a glass elevator, which is fantastic. Then we was very tired and we went to our hotel. Next day we got up early because we planned to go to Victoria. We got there by ferry and it took 1.5 hour. The weather was great it was very sunny. In Victoria we went to the interesting museum of British Colombia. During we walked around Victoria in the ocean-front, there were a lot of talanted people, such as painrers, musians, and magicians who was singing, dancing, or painting. Then, we went to a great seafood restaurant were we had delicious meal. After that, we went back to Vancouver. Next day, we went to the Telus World of Science, it is a fantastic place for children, where we played like a children with different toys. After this museum, we went to the Vancouver aquarium where we saw many kinds of fish and other ocean animals. It is great place for people who have children. I really enjoed this trip and I really recomended to visit Vancouver. There are still a lot of places I didn't visited, so I'm planning to do to there again.

water

I didn't know what to write about and my friend Moutaz gave me an idea to write about water. Water is very important thing in our life. We can not live a long time without water. Actually human can live only 3 days without water. We drink water every day. Water slake the thirst. Water used for many things, such as to prepare a food, to grow the plant, and to take a shower. Also, water used for a medicine to make drugs. In addition, people use a lot of water in the industry and building. Water is very important for our life.

The great place to visit

I think Italy is the great place to visit for several reasons. First of all, Italy is very beautiful country with lots of tourist attraction. For example, Rome is very beautiful and historical city. There are many place to visit such as Coliseum, and Vatican. There are many museums and historical monuments. Second, traditional Italian food is one of the reasons to visit Italy. For example, there are many different kinds of food tourists can try to visit Italy, such as pasta, pizza, and risotto. Third, Italy is one of the most famous centers of fashion. For example, there are many famous desaignes that are from Italy, such as Dolche Gabbana, Versace, and Armani. Tourist can buy very fashionable cloths for less price. Italy is great place to visit because of tourists attractions, traditional Italian food, and fashion.

Five communication issues

1. Presenter's spoken English is easy to understand.

2. Eye contact with everyone in the classroom.

3. Creative and interesting presentation.

4. Vocabulary is used correctly.

5. Loud voice that all listeners can hear.

Every culture has different rules about who is welcome in your home. In my home I invite only people whom I know very well. Usually my friends call me before they go to my home. If my friends don’t call me I’m happy to see them whenever they come. When I invite friends for a party I tell them my address (if they don’t know) and time. My friends usually go exactly on time. If my friends late they usually let me know about it. If my friend wants to bring a friend or relative he/she often ask me permission and I usually welcome friends of my friends. If I invite people to my home I usually cook dinner for them. The public space in my home is a sitting room my visitors free to do whatever they want, but the private room in my home is a bedroom visitors usually don’t go to my bedroom. I think there are different rules in different countries about how to welcome people in your home.

There are many different colors and each of them has the different meaning for me. For example:

Red

Red color symbolizes energy, action, passion, love. Also, red is the color of blood, danger, and war for me. I think people who are wearing red cloth are very confident.

Blue

Blue is color of sky, ocean, peace, stability, trust, loyalty, truth. When I see blue color I feel relaxation. In my country blue is boy's color.

Black

Black color symbolizes elegance, prestigious, power, perspective, and formal. In my country sometimes black is symbol of death. When someone died people usually wear black cloth in funeral or people put on dead person's picture a black ribbon.

Yellow

Yellow is color of sun, sunflower, joy, happiness, warm, intellect, and freshness. When yellow combines with black it symbolizes warning attracting attention. In my country advertisers think that the combination of black and yellow is the best for successful ad. In addition, there is a superstition that yellow color of flowers means separation. If someone gives yellow flowers to you it means you won't see that person for a long time.

White

White color symbolizes moon, virgin, snow, freshness, innocence, cleanliness. Also, white color reminds me about hospitals, doctors, angels, and wedding.

Green

Green color means nature, life, growth, something new, harmony, health, and safety.

I think these colors have a different meaning in different cultures.

Class survey

There are some reasons why do I want to study English. First of all, I want to travel a lot in the future, so I want to know English to communicate with international people. Second, I want to study at the University of Calgary and major in International business. To work at International business I have to know international language which is English. I choose the major international business because it seems me interesting and perspective. In the future, I’d like to work in a big oil and gas company in Russia in the import export department. In my free time I like to do different kinds of activities such us skiing, ice-skating, roller-skating, swimming, sunbathing, and go shopping. Also, I like to go to different kinds of restaurant and try new food. In addition, I like traveling, learn different customs, and meet new people. Outside of class I also try to study English. For example, I watch movies in English, read books and newspapers, meet with my international friends. The most difficult thing about learning English for me is writing because in my native language we have absolutely different style of writing. In English language students have to be very specific and every sentence should be relevant to the topic. In my opinion, the most difficult thing about going to college in Canada that English is not our native language. For example math is very difficult subject, but if it lectures in not your native language is more difficult because international students really have to concentrate in language. Also, note taking skills is very difficult too. The easiest thing about learning English that students should be outgoing and don’t be shy they just have to communicate to people to improve their listening and speaking skills. In my opinion, I most need to improve my writing skills because I think it is the most difficult thing about learning English
